Review
Planet Luck Casino
by Chuck Greene, WINNERonline.com
08 Oct 1999

According to Planet Luck, their JAVA games are "the ultimate in real casino 3D graphics, real Hi-Fi casino sounds and real casino excitement... the #1 most technically advanced and easy to use JAVA no download system on the Net today."

After playing their games I can tell you that these statements go beyond hyperbole -- they're outright lies.

Planet Luck's JAVA games are sub-par -- the graphics and sounds are poor. Not only that but the games are loaded with bugs. Here are two major glitches I encountered in just 10 minutes of play:

1. While playing craps, I lost my pass line bet on snake eyes (not 7) AFTER the come out roll.

2. On blackjack, the dealer took another card AFTER reaching 21 and busted. (One of the few blackjack hands I won.)

I can only imagine how many other flaws are in the programming. And if you think the JAVA games are bad, the HTML games are worse. There's a reason why they don't let you test drive their games before opening an account.

On top of all this there is absolutely no company information on the website and no toll-free support.

What really annoys me is that I've read good things about Planet Luck on other websites. Well, it turns out that Planet Luck pays webmasters incredibly high commissions -- 40 to 50% -- for referrals. So I guess that explains it.

If there's anything good I can say about Planet Luck it's that their e-cash system appears to be professionally set up. But if I get screwed on my credit card transaction you'll be the first to hear about it.
