Galaxiworld is a major player in online casino action and one of the leaders in no-download games. Earlier this year they teamed up with Playboy to power Hef's Playboy Play 4 Fun Casino and have been dishing out tons of cash to market their site ever since.
There are a lot of good things to say about Galaxiworld. They offer a tremendous variety of no-download games, more WebTV-compatible games than any other Internet casino, and live 24 hour customer support. And their website is first rate.
Now I'm not a big fan of no-download games. Even the best no-download games -- such as those at Galaxiworld -- pale in comparison to download casinos like those offered by Sunset Casino or InterCasino, to name just two. But for those of you who don't like waiting for the download, let me tell you what I found at Galaxiworld.
As usual, my first stop was at the blackjack table. Galaxiworld offers fair rules for the savvy player: You can resplit, double after splitting and surrender is allowed. The betting limits are high, ranging from $2 to $1000, and you can play up to three hands at a time.
I found that the card games ran a touch slow over a 56K modem -- you'll definitely want to play over a faster connection if you can. And I did find one bug in the program: After splitting Aces, I received a second Ace for a total of 12. The dealer stood on 17, yet I won the hand. I'm not complaining, but it always alarms me to see these kind of programming flaws.
Although I enjoyed the games at Galaxiworld, for me they didn't provide a realistic casino experience. I felt like I was playing video games, not gambling for real money.
Galaxiworld lets you test drive their games before wagering cash so there's no harm in giving them a try.
Finally, don't expect any sign up bonuses or comps at Galaxiworld, just straight-up play.
My rating: A flush.
