Computer engineer Denny Amirault recently won a seat at a World Poker Tour (WPT) event Dec. 12 at the Bellagio Hotel. 21 Oct 05 And Some Good News After a run of bad news since August from PartyGaming, their third quarter results produced a positive reaction from the market.
Both revenues and player numbers rose strongly in the third quarter.
Revenues were up 32% (to $220m) compared to $166.1m last year and that total active player days had risen 53 per cent to 12.2m.
PartyGaming shares were up 9 per cent in early trading at 85p, although they were still substantially down on the high of over 170p in August.

18 Oct 05 Asia Lays Bet On Casino Gambling This week Singapore agreed to build two casino resorts aimed at overseas visitors, ending a 40-year-old ban. With an estimated price tag of $3bn, the two resorts will feature hotels, restaurants, theme parks and other entertainment facilities. Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said Singapore, a tightly run city-state of four million people, had to stay competitive in the Asian tourist market. Singapore wants to double the number of tourists it receives within 10 years - and sees casinos as the way to achieve this. Other countries in the region, including Thailand, Japan and Indonesia, are considering following suit.

14 Oct 05 Arrest In Murder Of Gaming Executive The Puerto Rican police have arrested a 22-year old male in the case of the murder of Adam Anhang. Anhang, a Canadian entreprenuer, was the CEO CasinoWebCam, a live casino platform used by several online casino companies.
He was also heavily involved in real estate development in Puerto Rico.
At the time of his murder, he was involved in divorce proceedings. The suspect has a connection to his wife, as he was an employee at a bar owned by her.
Local press are reporting they expect more arrests in the case.
