Massachusetts Casino Bill Not Recommended

Although Governor of Massachusetts Deval Patrick was pushing for a bill that would build new casinos and ban online poker, a majority of his colleagues didn't share his enthusiasm.

According to The Boston Globe, "a legislative committee has recommended this afternoon that lawmakers reject Governor Deval Patrick’s casino proposal by a vote of 10-8, with one abstention."

The Massachusetts House can still vote on the bill but if it is defeated it won't be able to be brought before the House again until next year reported the pokernews.com.
