PokerStars Far In Front
04 Jan 10
A recent online survey has shown that online poker company PokerStars is still leading the way in player numbers over it's nearest rival Full Tilt Poker. Over a 24 hour average, there are twice as many players logged on to PokerStars than there are playing Full Tilt.

However, Full Tilt poker has little to worry about with it's nearest competitor, Party Poker, lagging with only a quarter of what Full Tilt has got. This really gets one thinking about what online poker site should be striving to offer their poker players. Looking at the difference of what Poker Stars offers compared to Full Tilt here are some marked differences.

1) Weekly Guaranteed Tournaments
Yes sometimes there is an overlay, but these can be just called marketing costs to attracting more players to a big tournament. PokerStars has the Sunday Millions tournaments which giants over the FullTilt Sunday Brawl and Mulligan. Other sites can only afford to offer monthly guaranteed tournaments so they can make the decision to follow or not.

2) More Satellites
Satellite to everything out there possible like the World Series of Poker, and every other series of poker possible. There are plenty of them around and if you find it difficult to find some, then make your own tournaments. PokerStars manages to do this really well around the world so other sites can follow suit.

3) Just Be Creative
It can get a little boring playing poker, so maybe the sites can offer more in the way to present the stats. May one site can have an automatic state of how much M is in play and the other stats rather than having to click around for it.

Just more food for thought.
