That Flexible Job
20 Nov 09
It has recently been announced that a Canadian Olympic curler tries his best to get by by playing poker on the virtual felt when he is not training. The reason why he does not bother finding a job is that with his irregular training schedule, it is very difficult for him to find a job that is flexible enough. So the solution to the problem? Get really good at online poker and play to earn some money.

So then this brings the question. For many getting good and winning at poker is the ultimate dream. For others, poker is just another source of income to help them get to where they want to be. For others, poker is still viewed as an old school school.

Recently, Joe Cada was featured on the David Lettermen show which David then happen to make the joke that Joe might end up shot in a car in the back alley. It looks like poker still has a long way to go with being identified as a prime time sport or as part of world culture.
