Phil Ivey's price to win the World Series of Poker has moved from 175/1 down to 5/1. He has recently made the front cover of ESPN magazine and has continued to receive big bets backing him to win the final table.
To move down form 175 to 5 means a crazy amount of money being bet on a player who is sitting in six the place on the table can can be easily knocked out by the top three players if they were to call any of his all in pushes. So that really means two things when the odds have moved so much. Obviously, the people who have put money on Ivey are hoping he wins to claim back their investment, and the bookies are hoping that Ivey do not win so they do not have to sell the house.
The upside to all this means that some of the other top three players are now extreme value. Darvin Moon, Eric Buchman and Steven Begleiter are all well in the hunt and can easily win the prize as well so look to put some money on them if you are in the market of betting on the WSOP.
