World Poker Tour Hunted By Mandalay Media 25th October 2009
Mandalay Media has dived on to the world poker stage by announcing that they are keen to purchase the World Poker Tour for a very grand price of $35 million. This has caused waves of energy across poker forums and media with the World Poker Tour previously struggling in value and often in search of a sponsor to bail itself out of precarious situations.
Mandalay Media is known for it’s movies. The biggest names on its repertoire include Wild Things, Sleepy Hallow and Donnie Brasco. Their offer of $35 million equates to $1.69 per WPT share. Mandalay Media is looking to build new distributions of media and is looking to grow themselves through great asset acquisitions, mergers and expanding their business.
