Vietnam has joined the world gambling stage by opening a brand sparkling new casino in the coastal city of Da Nang. Da Nang once known for it’s US occupation during the Vietnam war now boasts a resort style 15,000 square metre European style casino. The 5 star hotel contains 548 rooms, 52 premium villas and a 20 hectare conference centre.

Name the Silver Shores Da Nang resort, the casino is targeting gamblers from mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. The casino started construction in 2006 and took a US$160 million investment. The casino has a strict tourists only policy, with only overseas passports allowed to enter the casino. Direct flights from Guangzhou are currently operating, with direct flights from Shanghai coming soon.
