Harrah’s entertainment have hand picked a new eastern regional president to manage their struggling casinos in Atlantic City. Don Marrandino, a big named casino operator has been picked to help revive Atlantic City. Marrandino started out at Bally’s Atlantic City way back in 1981 before heading off to Vegas to work. His credentials include working at the Rio and Station Casinos, Hard Rock Hotel, Steve Wynn, Lake Tahoe, Caesars Palace, etc.
Marrandino’s style of casino management is based on luring big entertainment to attract the gambling crowds. He has managed to secure gigs by the Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen and sax player Clarence Clemons. Marrandino feels strongly that Atlantic City has many golden years ahead of it and plans to use the boardwalk and themed weekends as major drawcards for attracting the crowds.
