Table Games Debated in Pennsylvania 8th January 2010
Hot on the debate is the legality of table games for the casinos of Pennsylvania. With the state split both ways on this hot topic, it is amazingly not the table games itself that is dividing the crowd but the line of credit issue attached to the bill that is the hot topic. With table games, casinos would be able to extend interest free credit to gamblers so that they can have easy access to finance whenever they want to gamble. This has been seen by those against as an easy recipe for gambling disaster.
However, the major positive point for allowing casinos to provide free line of credit is that doing so will create approximately 500 new jobs for the local community. Casinos will issue credit card style cards that allow their customers to withdraw cash to gamble. This system has worked very well with other casinos around the world and has contributed to higher revenue for the casino.
