SunCruz Gambling Sails Off
18th December 2009

The SunCruz Gambling Ship has been delivered the news that it will no longer be operating from Port Canaveral Florida. This decision implies that many of the employees that work on the ship now are out of a job and facing a very bleak holiday season. Making the decision easy for the port commission was that the SunCruz ship owed the port $300,000 in port fees and have begun planning out how it will try to recover the owed funds from SunCruz.

All of the employees of the SunCruz gambling ship attended a holiday party on Monday and were then told on Wednesday not to board the ship. Although employees were told not to board the ship, the SunCruz is still advertising for discount cruises, appearing like it is business as usual. The USA gambling industry has been hard hit by the recession with several casinos closing their doors this year.
