A slots playing mum has been arrested by Louisiana State Police after she left her young son outside in the car whilst inside the Harrah’s New Orleans Casino playing slots. 41 year old Yvette Lindsay was a regular at the New Orleans Casino and just the one afternoon decided to leave her son in the car. A member of the public who noticed the young child phoned the police. The boy was found by Trooper Melissa Mately near the Canal Street entrance of the casino.
Police then entered the casino to look for the boy’s mum. They found her soon after gambling at a slots machine, unaware of the situation. Yvette Lindsey was booked into Orleans Parish central lock-up on charges of child desertion and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The father of the child was called in to take custody of the child.
