Before it even opens the doors to the general public, the management of Las Vegas Sands Corporation has already sacked some of the staff that it had previously promised work. The Casino Regulatory Authority (CRA) of Singapore is in charge of overseeing all the staff who work at the casino and rejected 30 of Sands applicants to work as table game dealer. The CRA has strict guidelines on whether a person is allowed to work at a casino or not.
The CRA rejections were not subjected only at Marina Bay Sands. Resorts World Sentosa has also had a few of their casino staff rejected by the board. Both resorts are scrambling to train hundreds of casino staff to be dealers, cashiers and surveillance staff to ensure the casinos are ready to be open to the public.
