Kansas City Chiefs @ Houston Texans (Opening: Pick’em, Total 38˝)

With a newly signed Larry Johnson in the backfield, Damon Huard behind center, rookie Dwayne Bowe at WR and Tony Gonzalez on the strong side, the Kansas City Chiefs will engage in a shootout with QB Matt Schaub and his Houston Texans.
Schaub will pass for over 300 yards and Houston WR Andre Johnson will no longer be the league’s best kept secret after having a breakout game.
The total will be eclipsed by double the Vegas standard 38˝.
Detroit Lions @ Oakland Raiders (Opening: Oakland -2˝, Total 36)
Current line: Raiders -1˝, Total 40
The battle for the first pick in the 2008 draft will begin in earnest.
Oakland QB Daunte Culpepper will regret just missing out on a chance to play again with ex-Minnesota teammate Randy Moss and will hold on to the ball too long, just like he did in Miami. He will be sacked five times.
Detroit will have another horrific season leading to Lions’ fans greatest wish—the firing of Matt Millen, however, the Lions will take both the game and the total with some unorthodox play calling from offensive coordinator Mike Martz.
