Getting A Handle On Football And Online Casinos

But online casinos are more than just a place for bettors to whet their appetites while waiting for Sunday NFL action. The online casino business is a billion dollar a year industry and it is beneficial to have their casinos open year round.

Companies like Bodog and Pinnacle don’t have to rely solely on revenue from betting so that there is less of a dry spell after the Vince Lombardi trophy is awarded.

“With the multiple sports and options available to bettors, the past reduction in action after Superbowl is becoming less apparent year after year,” Bodog said.

Besides, the absence of football allows people to see the other offerings that online gaming companies provide their customers with, as there other selections besides pigskin picks, which is mutually beneficial.

“Our [online casino] community is growing at a phenomenal rate and with a wide array of proposition wager options, there’s always action available for customers. [Last] year, after the Superbowl wrapped up, the drop was rather insignificant.”

Even though the sports betting community gears up for the NFL season, it doesn’t mean the bookmaking business falls off the face of the earth. There is still a lot that happens from the end of the Superbowl to the beginning of NFL exhibition.

Pinnacle said that both college and professional level hoops catch the eyes of bettors and it’s more than just chicks that dig the longball.

“Interestingly we will see more handle on baseball as a whole than on both the NFL and college combined, which is more a factor of the length of the season and number of games played than anything else,” said Noble.

“That being said, on a per game basis, both professional and college basketball and soccer receive the most action following games from the NFL.”

But it is NFL season and bookmakers won’t be lacking in the action department.

As the Bodog bookmakers stated, “As the first regular season games kickoff, bettors will continue to make NFL the most popular sport to wager on.”
