Green Bay Packers at Philadelphia Eagles
Week 4 closes off with a duel between QBs Brett Favre and Donovan McNabb. The Packers head to Lincoln Financial Field in the hopes of upping their record to .500.
Line: Eagles -11 (Opening: Eagles -10˝)
Over/Under: 48
Key Points: The key injury to the Packers’ lineup involves RB Ahman Green, who has been downgraded to questionable with rib and hamstring injuries, in fact it has now been confirmed that Green will miss the game altogether.
Since joining the Eagles via trade—to the Saints for LB Mark Simoneau and a draft pick—Donte’ Stallworth has given Donovan McNabb a legitimate target in the passing game. In two games with the Eagles, Stallworth has averaged 111 yards receiving and a TD a game. He missed last week’s game vs. San Francisco with a hamstring injury, but all signs are pointing to a return on Monday night.
Philly RB Brian Westbrook has an injured knee and won't play in the Monday nighter.
Sources are saying that S Brian Dawkins will likely play for the Eagles, even though he is suffering from post concussion syndrome.
Dawkins’ fellow DB Lito Sheppard was listed as day-to-day, but won't see any action.
Philly starting TE L.J. Smith will play but has an injured shoulder.
Monday Night Numbers and Trends: The Green Bay Packers have a three game losing streak going in the national spotlight.
As a starter, Brett Favre is 0-5 in Philadelphia, but the Packers are 1-0 ATS when on the road this year.
The Eagles have yet to post an ATS victory at Lincoln Financial currently standing at 0-1.
The Pack are 0-2 ATS when playing on grass this season, while the Eagles are 2-1 against the number on natural turf.
Winneronline Opinion: The Eagles should win, but with the number of banged up players it won’t be by 11 points. Take the Packers to cover.
