In the first piece of positive news to come out of Atlantic City in a long while, Revel casinos have finally secured a partner to help complete construction on the Boardwalk strip. China State Construction Engineering Corp has signed a $1.7 billion agreement to help build the resort, with the entire budget to be topping $2.5 billion.
Revel casinos has promised 2,000 hotel rooms, non-gaming amenities, restaurants, pools, spas and a 100,000 square foot casino. It is expected to employ at least 4,000 staff. Not since 1991 has there been a new casino opening in the Atlantic City Boardwalk. The project is expected to be completed by 2011. Such an project will hopefully begin a much needed rise in tourism and revenue for the troubled casino city.
