Poker Champion Arrested
25th November 2009

2009 British Columbia Poker Championship winner Sophon Sek was arrested the day after he won the poker championship for $364, 364. Sek is an affiliate of the Red Scorpion gang and faces charges in relation to the 2007 slaughter of the Surrey Six in Balmoral Tower, Vancouver Canada. Sek lives in an area of BC called Cloverdal and is charged with manslaughter and break and enter.

After hoisting the big winner’s cheque above his head after winning the poker championship, Sek never returned to the casino to collect his real winner’s cheque the next day. The Red Scorpions are a gang based in British Columbia Canada and are known for young members involved in supplying drugs in the area. They are bitter rivals to the United Nations Gang and have been involved in many bloody killings between the gangs.
