Online Gambling Gives to Haiti
29th January 2010

The online gambling industry is viewed upon as a profiteering and competitive industry where several online giants continually innovate to ensure high profit growth and domination. In the wake of the Haiti disaster many of the biggest players in online gambling have shown their humanitarian sides and donated large sums of money to assist with the rebuilding of the affected country.

Bodog gambling’s Calvin Ayre is one of the most vocal and is promising to raise $1 million to help Oxfam rebuild Haiti. Online poker giants Fulltilt and Poker Stars have held numerous charity tournaments where organising fees and proportions of the pot have been donated to the good cause. Party Poker has organised upcoming charity tournaments and DoylesRoom has donated all the tournament fees from it’s regular guaranteed tournaments. Such disasters have never been neglected by the online gambling community.
