The conservative state of Ohio looks to be the next state in line to introduce casinos. Newspapers in the state have all commissioned polls to see whether its citizens are willing to vote in favour of casinos for the state with the latest polls showing that sixty percent of the voters are in favour. Many polls have shown previous voters against casinos, but the latest one has seen a change of heart with the November election in the state to decide whether casinos go ahead or not.
Many anti gambling groups have emerged to voice their opinions against gambling. The change of heart for casinos have come from the fact that Ohio is one of the states that have been hardest hit by the slowing economy and many of it's citizens have lost their jobs. The change in casino legislation which is set to introduce casinos to Toledo, Columbus, Cleveland, and Cincinnati is looked upon as bringing much needed jobs and tourism to the area.
