It’s a good weekend if you’re a football fan, whether you live in America or Canada and if you like college or professional. On Saturday one of the berths to college football’s BCS title game in Arizona will essentially be decided as the Michigan Wolverines travel to the “Horseshoe” to battle their rivals, the Ohio State Buckeyes. No.1 vs. No. 2. What more could you ask for?
How about a heavyweight bout between the undefeated Indianapolis Colts and the Tuna, TO and the Dallas Cowboys? If Big ‘D’ can hand Peyton and Indy their first loss, Bill Parcells might even give his players a little tongue.
Still not enough? The battle for Canadian football supremacy will also be waged on Sunday. While the top two in college battle it out the day before, the CFL playoffs will draw to a close when the Montreal Alouettes and B.C. Lions battle it out in Winnipeg, Manitoba in the 94th Annual Grey Cup.
College, Canadian and NFL football all in this week’s edition of All killer no filler.

University of Michigan Wolverines at Ohio State University Buckeyes
Ohio Stadium (Grass)
Records: Michigan (11-0, No. 2 in BCS), Ohio State (11-0, No. 1 in BCS)
Game Time: 3:30 PM EST
Line: OSU -7 (Unchanged)
Over/Under: 40½ (Opening: 40)
Key Points: Michigan LB Prescott Burgess is questionable with an ankle injury.
Ohio State OT Alex Boone is listed as probable despite a knee injury.
The Wolverines have a perfect 4-0 ATS road record this season.
The Buckeyes are 4-1 against the number at the Horseshoe this year.
Jim Tressel coached Ohio State teams have been a polar opposite to, predecessor, John Cooper’s teams when playing against archrival Michigan.
Under Cooper OSU was a ghastly 2-10-1 against the Wolverines, while Tressel has a sparkling 4-1 record both SU and ATS.
Furthermore, the home team has a distinct advantage going 15-8-1 in the last 24 tilts.
The Buckeye ‘D’ best be on its toes—especially against the run—as the maize and blue are an amazing 17-1 when RB Mike Hart cracks the 100 yard rushing mark. Michigan averages 194.5 rushing yards a game.
The Wolves’ defense better be alert too as Heisman hopeful OSU QB Troy Smith has a 168.7 QB rating and the Buckeyes average 35.8 points per game.
Former Michigan coach Bo Schembechler passed away on Friday after collapsing while taping a TV show and you can be sure current Michigan coach Lloyd Carr and company will have even more motivation to beat Ohio State.
Winneronline Opinion: A really tough one to call. Ohio State should win this one but only by the hairs on their chinny chin chins and not by the TD that the oddsmakers are giving them. Take Michigan.
