Thanksgiving is here and so is Thursday football for the rest of the season.
This year’s Thanksgiving main course will consist of a good ole’ fashioned AFC West grudge match between the Denver Broncos and the Kansas City Chiefs.
As appetizers you can watch Joey Harrington returning to the fans that booed him out of town, aka Detroit and the Dallas Cowboys make a push for the NFC East division crown.

Miami Dolphins at Detroit Lions – Ford Field (Artificial)
Records: Miami 4-6 (3-7 ATS), Detroit 2-8 (3-7 ATS)
Game Time: 12:30PM EST
Line: Dolphins -3 (Unchanged)
Over/Under: 39 (Opening: 40)
Key Points: The Dolphins won their third straight since their bye-week and look to make it four, but the short week could hinder a couple of players, who are hurting.
The O-line will be missing OG Jeno James who is out with a knee injury.
DB Will Allen’s groin could keep him out of the Thanksgiving Day matchup. He’s listed as questionable.
Run stuffing NT Keith Traylor missed last game with a knee injury but is listed as probable for this game.
The same goes for WR and return specialist Wes Welker (ankle) and sophomore LB Channing Crowder (hip).
The Lions will be without the services of DT Shaun Rogers who is not only under suspension for substance abuse, but is recovering from knee surgery as well.
RB Kevin Jones is listed as questionable, but according to The Sporting News, he won’t see any action.
WRs Eddie Drummond (concussion) and Devale Ellis (shoulder) are both listed as questionable as well.
The Dolphins have covered the spread in eight out of nine tilts on the road in the latter half of the season.
The Lions have eight losses on the season but have cashed in at a 90 percent rate after dropping eight of 10.
Winneronline Opinion: Joey Harrington will show Detroit, that hell hath no fury like a QB scorned.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Dallas Cowboys – Texas Stadium (Artificial)
Records: Tampa Bay 3-7 (4-5-1 ATS), Dallas 6-4 (6-4 ATS)
Game Time: 4:15PM EST
Line: Dallas -11 (Opening: Dallas -12)
Over/Under: 39 (Unchanged)
Key Points: Tampa Bay DE Simeon Rice has been placed on Injured Reserve and will miss the rest of the season with a shoulder injury. The Bucs will definitely miss his services.
TE Alex Smith and DT Ellis Wyms both have ankle injuries and are both doubtful according to NFL.com.
RB Michael Pittman continues to have shoulder problems also and is listed as questionable.
OT Anthony Davis (ankle), TE Dave Moore (illness) and LB Shelton Quarles (knee) are questionable as well.
The Cowboys are looking healthy with no new injuries to report.
Although the last time the Bucs met Dallas was back in 2003, Tampa Bay has won three straight against them.
Tampa Bay is 1-2 ATS on artificial turf.
Dallas has taken three out of its last four and is 23-6 against the number after that type of situation.
Winneronline Opinion: Dallas is hot and riding high after handing the Colts their first loss last week. They are healthy as well and things are pointing to a win both ATS and SU, but I have a gut feeling that they won’t cover the spread. Take Dallas if you’re going to play the Moneyline, otherwise take Tampa Bay.
Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs – Arrowhead Stadium
Records: Denver 7-3 (4-6 ATS), KC 6-4 (5-5 ATS)
Game Time: 8:00PM EST
Line: Kansas City -1½ (Opening: Denver -1)
Over/Under: 38 (Opening: 39½)
Key Points: Denver S Nick Ferguson could miss an extended amount of time with a knee injury.
The two Bells, RBs Tatum and Mike, are questionable with toe and thigh injuries respectively.
WR Rod Smith (ankle) and CB Darrent Williams (shoulder) are also questionable.
LB Al Wilson is probable despite a thumb injury.
KC’s most notable injury is to TE Tony Gonzalez, who is questionable with a shoulder injury, although reports indicate that he will be a game-time decision.
OT Kevin Sampson is out with a foot injury.
People aren’t sure about LB Derrick Johnson’s status. He is listed as questionable with an ankle injury.
Rookie DE Tamba Hali (hip) and OG Brian Waters (knee) are both probable.
Denver lost a crucial game as they were upset at home by the San Diego Chargers last week. The Broncos are 17-6 ATS after such a scenario.
The Chiefs have are 22-13 ATS in their last 35 at Arrowhead and are 11-4 vs. Denver in their last 15 tilts.
Winneronline Opinion: In the span of a few days, the Chiefs have gone from 1-point dog to -1½-point chalk. Take the Chiefs.
