Some, if not all, Microgaming-powered Internet casinos will no longer be processing PayPal transactions as of today, Monday 18th November 2002, according to an announcement made by Referback. This is earlier than expected. PayPal had announced that they would be discontinuing Internet gambling transactions on 24 November 2002.
Referback represents The Gaming Club, Lucky Nugget, RiverBelle and a number of other popular casinos. These casinos will be removing all signs of PayPal from their sites today.
If you have funds in a casino that you were planning to withdraw by PayPal, I recommend you do so now in order to have any chance of receiving these funds - or else prepare to receive your funds by some other method.
If you are planning to fund your casino account with PayPal, I recommend you do so now, otherwise prepare to fund your account by some other method.
If you have remaining funds in your PayPal account that you wish to withdraw to your bank account, or plan to move to another account such as NETeller, I recommend that you initiate the necessary transaction in order to have your funds available at the earliest possible opportunity. I expect that PayPal will experience a number of delays in moving funds over the next week or two.
