The construction of the brand new Gun Lake Casino in western Michigan is currently reporting that it is two weeks ahead of schedule and is set to open by the end of the Michigan summer. The $157 million project is managed by Station Casinos and is owned by the native American Indians. The early construction is due to a relatively mild winter where construction was able to continue on without any disruptions.
The casino belongs to the Match-E-Be-Nash-She-Wish Band of Pottawatomi Indians and is going to be the soul source of revenue for the 385 member Indian tribe. The 83,000 square foot casino will include slot machines, table games, restaurants, entertainment and food court. Station casinos will receive a flat fee of 24 percent of the casino’s income.
