The MGM Mirage Las Vegas Casino has opened the retail and entertainment district in the City Center complex. The district named Crystals features half a million square feet of dining facilities, entertainment venues and also luxury boutiques and shops. The targeted patrons are the high end spenders from cities like Beverly Hills, Palm Springs and Orange County.
Retailers inside the Crystals district include Tiffany, Cartier, Louis Vitton, whilst dining options include establishments run by Eva Longoria, Wolfgang Puck and Todd English. Although there is plenty of fanfare with the opening of Crystals, City Center itself is currently at an occupancy of 40% due to the recession and is currently replanning it’s grand openings to attract more visitors. Other districts in the City Center include Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas and the ARIA Resort and Casino.
