Heavy emphasis on Chinese New Year and Chinese beliefs has reshaped the MGM Macau to attract more Chinese gamblers. The management believes that by making the Macau based casino more attractive and in line with Chinese traditions and beliefs, that more of the Chinese tourists will visit their casinos in Las Vegas. The MGM Macau is sporting festive decorations and performances to capture the Chinese New Year holidaying Chinese gamblers.

The Bellagio in Las Vegas is also approaching Chinese New Year on a similar line. Baccarat numbers always correlate with the casino’s efforts to appeal to the Chinese. The casino has recently completed conservatory and botanical gardens to be in line with Chinese Feng Shui customs. Star City in Sydney Australia is opening a brand new oriental baccarat room decked out in red Chinese wall paper.
