Former West Ham United footballer Matthew Etherington, who is now at Stoke, has seen a new step in his footballing. The midfielder was once well documented by his gambling problems and debts that clearly affected his performance on field. Now with his gambling under control, Etherington has performed admirably for his new club and clearly showing now signs of the stress that marred his previous seasons.
Etherington has revealed that he actually attends gambling anonymous twice a week. He feels that by meeting like minded people twice a week to discuss their gambling problems and personal advice on how to avoid gambling, it has helped him to remove the stress that previously weighed on his shoulders. Gambling anonymous has helped him so much that Etherington plans to attend the sessions for the rest of his life to ensure the stresses of excessive gambling does not affect his life.
