Kansas Jayhawks (+386)
Seeded No. 1 in the Midwest, the Jayhawks, like the Heels, have had a smooth ride in the tournament so far.
Kansas has won its two tournament games by an average margin of victory of 21.5 points and is also perfect both SU and ATS.
UCLA Bruins (+355)
Although the Bruins cruised to a 70-29 (not a typo) victory against Mississippi Valley St. covering the 31˝-point spread but hit rough waters in the second round against Texas A&M.
Listed as a 9˝-point favorite, the Bruins barely beat the Aggies 51-49.
Maybe the near loss will serve as a wakeup call to UCLA and they will sharpen up for its next matchup.
Memphis Tigers (+753)
The trend for the top seeds seems to come in pairs.
North Carolina and Kansas have had an easy time of it so far and UCLA and Memphis have had easy openers followed by tight second round matchups.
Like the Bruins, Memphis took its opener by a final of 87-63—although they barely failed to cover the 25˝-point spread—but only beat Mississippi St. by a trey in a 77-74 win.
The Tigers lost that game as a 9˝-point fave and overall are 0-2 ATS.
Davidson Wildcats (+5095)
Much like George Mason from two tournaments ago, it looks like the Wildcats could be the Cinderella team of the tournament.
Bettors were probably pleasantly surprised when Davidson beat the Gonzaga Bulldogs in the opening round as a 1-point favorite but were shocked when they knocked out the Midwest’s two seed, Georgetown, 74-70 as a 4˝-point underdog.
Davidson is 2-0 ATS with an exclamation point but will the ride end in the Sweet 16 or will the Wildcats go Elite Eight or better?
