In the East Region the tourament's top seed, North Carolina continued to steamroll teams and the Washington St. Cougars 68-47 covering as a 8-point favorite
The other team that will vie to come out of the Eastern front will be Louisville. The Cardinals defeated the Tennessee Volunteers 79-60 covering as a 2-point favorite to boot.
UCLA and Xavier will duke it out for the right to come out of the West:
The UCLA Bruins failed cover to against Western Kentucky as a 12½-point fave but advanced on the strength of a 88-78 win.
1½-point undedog Xavier pulled a mild betting upset of West Virginia in a 79-75 win.

The Davidson Wildcats again pulled off an upset, this time defeating 5-point fave Wisconsin by a final count of 73-56.
1-point fave Texas two stepped all over Stanford in a 82-62 victory.
