Betting On The 2008 Final Four

Continued from page 1

Kansas Jayhawks (+318)

The Midwest’s top seed, the Jayhawks were following the same route as the Tar Heels until an untimely ATS loss to this year’s Cinderella team, Davidson, where Kansas failed to cover a 9½-point spread in a 59-57 victory in the Elite Eight.

Fittingly, Kansas will be North Carolina’s Final Four opponent and are listed as a 3-point underdog.

UCLA (+345)

Being a top seed in the tournament—in UCLA’s case the West’s No. 1—usually comes with it steep betting lines and that was exactly the case in the Bruins’ opener against Mississippi Valley State where UCLA was favored by a massive 31½-points and not only did they cover, they held MVSU to under 30-points in a 70-29 win.

Although UCLA’s overall ATS record in the tournament sits at 2-2, the Bruins managed to cover their Elite Eight game against Xavier as a 6-point favorite in a 76-57 win.

Kevin Love, a nephew of the Beach Boys’ Mike Love, led the Bruins in scoring in that matchup with 19 points.

Will the “Love” continue for the 1-point underdog Bruins against Memphis?
