After introducing legislation that was a response to the UIGEA, it seems Barney Frank's IGREA will be re-introduced to congress.

The eGaming Review is reporting that the IGREA will go to a House Financial Services Committee hearing come springtime and Frank spokesperson, Steve Ademske is quoted as saying the bill's date for debate is scheduled for April.

Recently, Congressman Jim McDermott introduced the Internet Gambling Regulation and Tax Enforcement Act of 2008, essentially a companion piece to Frank's Internet Gambling and Regulation and Enforcement Act of 2007.
