Midwest Region

The Florida Gators moved on to the next round after they beat Purdue 74-67 but the Gators failed to cover 11-point spread. The total of 135 went over.

The UNLV Rebels pulled off the upset of the second round upsetting the Wisconsin Badgers 74-68. UNLV was listed as a 6-point dog. The total went over 125.

After upsetting Notre Dame, Winthrop didn't have enough steam to beat Oregon as they lost 75-61. Oregon was a 3-point favorite and the total went under 137½.

East Region

Listed as a 2½-point underdog USC upset Texas 87-68. The 146-point total went over.

South Region

Tennessee beat Virginia 77-74. The Vols covered as the 2½-point chalk and the 154-point total went under.

Memphis beat Nevada 78-62 covering as a 5½-point favorites. The total went under 144½.

West Region

Southern Illinois beat Virginia Tech 63-48. The Salukis covered as 1-point faves and the total went under 119.

Kansas covered as an 8-point chalk in their 88-76 victory over Kentucky. The 139-point total went over.
