Ohio State (1) vs. Tennessee (5) — March 22, 2007
Line: Ohio State -5
Over/Under: 144½
Stop the presses! The Ohio State Buckeyes have more weapons on their team than just C Greg Oden. It should come as no surprise, as the team is No. 1 in both the South Region and the polls, but you wouldn’t know it with all the press Oden has been getting.
After beating Central Connecticut State 78-57, the Buckeyes were taken to the limit against Xavier and it was Ron Lewis, not the freshman, who led the team in scoring, netting 27 to help his team to victory.
OSU has not lost any in their last 10 SU, but is 6-4 ATS during the same period.
Tennessee racked up the most points in the entire tournament beating Long Beach State 121-86 in Round 1. The Vols didn’t have such an easy time of it in the next round—they beat Virginia by a mere three points.
The Volunteers are 6-3-1 ATS in their last 10.
Texas A&M (3) vs. Memphis (2) — March 22, 2007
Line: Texas A&M -3
Over/Under: 134½
After beating Pennsylvania by a score of 68-52 in the first round, the Texas A&M Aggies won a close one to Louisville 72-69. They sport a 6-4 ATS record in their last 10.
Memphis has cake walked through the tournament so far. Victories over North Texas (73-58) and Nevada (78-62) are notches that the Tigers have added to their 2007 March Madness belts.
The Tigers haven’t lost SU in their last 10, but their ATS record hasn’t had much bite currently sitting at 4-6.
