Paradise Casino Awards Their First Wheel of Fortune Mega Jackpot
1 March 2004

PRESS RELEASE

Yuma, AZ -– Lillie Madison won $402,394 when she hit the Wheel of Fortune® quarters MegaJackpot™ at the Paradise Casino on Friday, February 27th.

The winner, a school bus driver from Yuma, Arizona, said “my instincts just let me” to the winning machine. Amazingly, after investing only $25 into the winning machine, Madison commented that she couldn’t believe she had won the top prize. “Crazy! [I] screamed, banged my head on the machine… people started gathering around” she said. The winner went on to say that her MegaJackpot™ will changer her life “tremendously” and she plans to spend some of her winnings on a new roof, maybe an ice cream truck, and she will also help her mother financially.

Friday’s MegaJackpot™ is the first one to be awarded at Paradise Casino. The casino is one of 19 tribal casinos in Arizona that belongs to a statewide Native American progressive gaming network. The network is made up of casinos that carry one or more of the progressive gaming systems distributed by IGT. Each time a coin is played in a linked machine, the jackpot accumulates until some lucky person wins the top progressive prize. Combined, Arizona casinos have awarded 136 MegaJackpots™ totaling $105 million on a variety of progressive gaming systems since 1995.

Wheel of Fortune® has a starting jackpot of $200,000 and features the famous spinning wheel from the popular television game show. In order to win the MegaJackpot™, a player bets three quarters at a time while attempting to line up the Wheel of Fortune® reel symbols on the machine’s payline. Each time a coin is played in a linked machine, the jackpot accumulates until some lucky winner hits the top jackpot award.

Wheel of Fortune® was developed by IGT (www.IGT.com), a world leader in the design, development and manufacture of microprocessor-based gaming and lottery products and software systems in all jurisdictions where gaming and lotteries are legal. Sodak Gaming Inc. is the leading distributor of IGT slot machines and progressive systems on tribal lands and manages sales and service to Indian Country from its headquarters in Rapid City, South Dakota. All IGT MegaJackpots top awards are paid in annual installments upon verification, except MegaJackpots Instant Winners Jackpots and Rapid Riches MegaJackpots awards, which are paid in their entirety upon verification.
