A woman working for a TV station in Los Angeles has hit an enormous amount of luck by purchasing a winning lottery ticket, entitling her to $US266 million. The woman had decided to go to work early that day to fax off resumes for her out of work husband and was half way through her shift when she discovered she had won the lottery. After she had received the news, she immediately burst into tears.
The win entitles her to either a one off payment of roughly half of US$266 million or annual payments for the next 25 years. Despite hearing that she would never have to work again, the woman completed all of her overnight duties at the TV station to ensure her employers did not have to endure any troubles to her winning the lottery. The outlet from where she purchased the ticket, Hawaiian Barbecue restaurant, in Pico Rivera will receive roughly $US 1.3 million in commissions for selling the winning ticket.
