Macau police have managed to save a HK woman from alleged loan sharks. After taking out a 60,000 HK dollar loan ( $7,000 US) the woman then proceeding to lose her entire loan and was help captive by loan sharks. A friend of the 44 year old captive managed to alert the police and managed to find the loan sharks confining the HK woman in a sauna facility.

The loan shark suspects are from Guangdong province and have admitted their crime to the police and are set to face court. Loan sharks are rampant in the casinos of Macau. Many look like plain clothes gamblers, who just approach gamblers offering money to be lent with dubious conditions.
