The United Kingdom Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has moved in on banning and advertisement showing Annette Obrestad. The ASA feels that the advertisement suggests that Annette Obrestad is 15 since her online name is Annette_15. Annette Obrestad is actually 21, and legally allowed to gamble at any casino around the world. What does not exactly help the matter is that Annette Obrestad has a very young looking face and looks more like she is 12 years old than 21.

Despite further debate from Betfair that the objective of the ad was not exactly to entice under aged gambling, they have received stern instructions to stop using the ad. This has caused a lot of debate around the world with many feeling that the same would never have been rule for an alcohol commercial depicting an 18 year old girl enjoying a drink, but has been applied to gambling due to it's social stigma.
