2007 WSOP Championship Event (No. 55) Updates
6 July, 2007, updated July 10

POKER

Continued from Day 1d

Day 2a - July 10, 2007

- As Day 2a came to a close, Jeff Banghart was chip leader holding a little over $500,000 followed by Kenny Tran with $425,000.

- Robert Mizrachi's bluff increased his stack when he saw a player $4000 and raised $12,000 and the player folded. Mizrachi had a QC-3C.

- Joe Sebok's pre-flop All-in with pocket 10s led to his demise as his opponent had pocket ladies.

- Tobey Maguire scored a big pot when he went All-in on a hand. The flop and turn revealed KD-3C-9H-2H when Spidey's opponent bet $13,000. Maguire called and the river came up an AS. Thinking he had "Venomed" Spiderman, the player flipped pocket 9s, but that wasn't enough for Maguire's pocket Aces.

- Barry won't be getting the "Green" this year after he was eliminated. Going in with pocket Qs, Greenstein was knocked out by a player holding pocket Aces.

- Kim bit the dust a little bit later after he tried to add to his dwindling stack by going All-in with a Q high. A person with an Ace high called Kim and got another Ace on the flop ending Kim's 2007 run pre-maturely.

- An Ace on the flop saved Doug Kim from taking a major hit. With AH-KS in the pocket, Kim went All-in against an opponent who was holding pocket 6s. The board came out 5D-AD-9D-3C-5C. Kim's Two pair (5s and As) beat his opponent's two pair.

- Joe Hachem is out of the 2007 World Series of Poker.

- Talk show host Montell Williams got knocked out of the 2007 WSOP when the board (JH-3S-2S-JS-9C) and his AS-4C wasn't enough to beat his opponent's pair of 7s.

Another day begins in the 2007 WSOP. This time it's 2a.

Days 1a, 1b, 1c, 1d, 2a, 2b, 3, 4, 5-6, Final
