Ivey Takes The Lead
29th January 2010

Champion poker player Phil Ivey has taken the lead from Daniel Negreanu as poker’s all time highest poker tournament money winner in history. His current winnings stands at USD $12,802,783 and is about US$400K clear of Daniel. Daniel Negreanu had pulled ahead of Phil Ivey with a runner up place in last year’s World Series of Poker London, but Phil’s recent USD$600,000 finish at the Aussie Millions $100,000 event has meant his now holds the title.

In 2009, Phil Ivey made the final table of the World Series of Poker main event and continually looks like dominating the tournament poker circuit. He has seven World Series of Poker bracelets and is tied for sixth place on the all time bracelets list. Phil Ivey combines his poker with other interests like maintaining his charities and mixing up poker with some baccarat.
