Israel Casino Approaching Approval 25th February 2010
Israeli officials are debating whether they should open a casino in the tourist city of Eilat. Opening a casino in the tourist hot spot will mean more attractions and greater tourist numbers and revenue. Eilat is a popular seaside resort due to the warm sea water in the area and has it’s own international airport. Another incentive for officials is that opening a casino will mean that gambling Israelis will be more likely to gamble at home than taking their tourist dollars overseas.
Many of the officials have already received lots of positive support from contractors and investors. Contractors are keen to bid for the tender of building the casino, whilst other businessmen feel that a casino will enable the area to improve it’s overall prosperity. Ideas have been discussed on whether a casino will be allowed to be operating within a hotel or as a stand alone building.
