Ireland Set To Move For Online Gambling 11th March 2010
Ireland’s parliament is currently debating on how it will take advantage of legalised online gambling. Many reports have been commissioned for this sensitive topic and many have come back with a number stating 8000 new jobs will be created, a number that a government with a recession problem cannot afford to ignore. When a government sees new jobs, they see new tax revenue and new growth so like the rest of the world, Ireland will soon be joining the online gambling boat.
Early estimations have shown that Ireland is capable of servicing 5% of the global online gambling market which will lead to a billion dollar industry The question is now how fast will Ireland move forward to take advantage of this known fact. The online gambling market is charging forward and will soon reach mobile applications, it is a growing market that many countries are working hard to take advantage of.
