Indian Man Stages Gambling Bungle 1st January 2010
An optimistic man from India decided to fund his way to Macau by trying to stage his own kidnapping. By kidnapping himself, he then demanded a 40,000 dollar ransom from his wealthy father for his release, and in actual case for him to have a nice gambling adventure. He was eventually caught by police when he was arrested by waiting police actually picking up the ransom in person at a busy New Delhi shopping mall..
When interviewed by police, the man then revealed that it was his girlfriend who pressured him into committing such an act. His girlfriend’s wish was to spend New Year’s Eve in Macau, already in a lot of dept, he decided to push the envelope further by staging the kidnapping. The case is now in the hand’s of the father on whether he is willing to press charges.
