Japan’s Hotel Okura has agreed to be in an agreement with Galaxy Entertainment Group to open a five star hotel in the Galaxy Mega Casino Resort of the Cotai Strip in Macau. Hotel Okura is a major hotel brand in Japan and has extended it’s brand name to Amsterdam, Guam and China. With it’s expansion plans, Hotel Okura has strategically targeted high growth Asian markets and sees Macau as an excellent location for it’s next point of expansion.

The planned hotel for the Galaxy Mega Casino Resort will have over 400 rooms and suites with fine dining restaurants, bars and lounges. Guests at the Hotel Okura will have access to other Galaxy casino and leisure facilities like table games, the largest wave pool in the world, fine dining restaurants and retail areas. The Galaxy Casino sees Japanese tourists as one of the main clientele, with at least three flights between Macau and Osaka each week, many Japanese gamblers holiday in Macau playing slots and table games.
