A North Carolina man has been shot dead whilst playing poker at his home with his friends. Whilst playing on a Friday night with some friends, Vernon Foster, 35, was shot after two men forced their way into the house in Rocky Mount.

Another player, 22 year old Brian Edwards ran for his home down the street and was followed by the two shooters. The two men managed to shoot Brian Edwards but failed to kill him. The shooters also injured another 61 year old man. Both the 61 year old and the 22 year old are in hospital and slowly recovering. Police are still on the look out for the two shooters.
