Disgraced referee and convicted criminal Tim Dongahy will soon by publishing a book about how he made the wrong step into gambling on NBA basketball games which he often officiated in. Tim Donaghy was uncovered in a mob and gambling scandal back in 2007 when the FBI was investigating mob activity and his name was surfacing as part of a low level gambling scheme.

Donaghy himself had a gambling problem and placed bets as high as twenty thousand dollars in the 05 -06 and 06-07 season and was approached by mob associates to help fix games. The report was a major scandal for the NBA, which already invests large resources into monitoring referee performance and to ensure NBA games are scandal free. The book will be titled ‘Personal Foul’ and will be released before Christmas.
