Gambling Protests Out On The Streets 25th October 2009
The clock is ticking closer to whether new casinos will be opened in Ohio and Massachusetts. Both states are featuring protests on the state governments and their impending decisions to open new casinos in the states. For Ohio, voters will be heading to the polls to vote on whether they would like new casinos in their state. If approved, the government will approve of casinos in Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati and Toledo. Early polls show that casinos are likely to show up with voters learning towards voting yes.
Massachusetts is still in the whole planning phase over new casinos. Politicians are continually supportive of more casinos as a way of solving the lack of state revenue and to increase employment. With both states still feeling the effects of the recession, voters know that the opening of the casinos will go a long way to helping all those who lost their jobs in the recession find new jobs to support themselves again.
