Highest scoring quarter

When the Pats met the Giants at the conclusion of the regular season, the highest scoring quarter was the second quarter.

In Super Bowl XLII, the highest scoring quarter was even but it was the final stanza where 21 of the eventual 31 points were scored making for an exciting end to a great game.

Coin toss prop

When asked prior to the game what New York would do if it won the coin toss, Giant head coach Tom Coughlin told the Associated Press, "So we're going to give the Patriots the ball one more time?"

True to form when the Giants did actually win the coin toss, they elected to receive and they proceeded to maintain possession for close to 10 minutes in the first quarter.

What Will Be More on Super Sunday? Giants and Patriots points or Kobe Bryant’s Pts., Reb. and Ast. (Lakers-Wizards game)

Sportsbook.com offered an interesting sets of prop bets with its “What will be more?” offerings and the Super Bowl vs. Kobe Bryant was one of the more intriguing.

31-points from the Giants and Pats and 30 points, 6 boards and 2 assists from Kobe made Bryant the winning choice.

The final Super Bowl XLII betting handle from Vegas wasn't over $100 million and Vegas sportsbooks were hammered thanks to the Giants' SU and ATS win over the Pats.

It was a “Giant” day for underdog bettors.
