Boylesports Ups The Ante, Signs On With Ethoca
6 February, 2008

NEWS

SOURCE: PRWeb

(Dublin and Dundalk, Ireland) — Ethoca, the leader in collaborative fraud management, today announced that Boylesports, Ireland's largest independent bookmaker, has selected Ethoca's global collaborative anti-fraud network to help it increase customer retention, speed up dispute resolution and prepare for entry into new markets.

Boylesports' decision to team with Ethoca makes it the most recent company in the global gaming industry to join Ethoca's fast-growing network, which includes such gaming leaders as William Hill, bwin, 888, Stan James and Ladbrokes.

Headquartered in Dundalk, Co Louth, Boylesports offers its customers three distinct betting channels: nationwide retail branches; online sports betting, poker and casino; and Fon-A-Bet.

Keeping pace with fraud across all three channels is a growing concern.

Ethoca's fraud-fighting technology will improve several critical aspects of Boylesports' operations: by enabling its good customers to start wagering more quickly thus increasing customer retention; by proactively increasing deposit limits for good customers; by distinguishing between fraudsters and customers with a legitimate grievance to speed dispute resolution, and by identifying new patterns of fraud as Boylesports enters new markets in Eastern Europe and Asia.

"Boylesports prides itself on offering customer service that is second to none, so it's important that we strike the right balance between rejecting fraudulent transactions and potentially turning away good customers," says Michael Bent, Head of Finance and Internet Development, Boylesports.

"Ethoca's collaborative anti-fraud network enables us to do just that, reducing operational expenses and increasing profits. That means we can concentrate our resources on the customers who are as passionate about sports and betting as we are. Ethoca's solution puts the odds in our favour."

"We are pleased to welcome Boylesports to our fast-growing ranks of companies around the world united in the battle to fight online fraud," said Andre Edelbrock, Ethoca's President and CEO.

"By pooling payment data and experiences, Ethoca customers are alerted to large-scale fraud patterns earlier and stay ahead of those who try to game the system. Our customers benefit far more by working collectively than what any could achieve alone, because seeing fraud in near real-time enables more-informed decisions, which means they can move quickly to avoid losses. That's why Ethoca is turning competitors into collaborators."
