4th Affiliate Series Of Poker A Success
4 February, 2008

NEWS

SOURCE: Press Release

(London, England) — The 4th Affiliate Series of Poker (ASOP) held at CAP Euro: London was an outstanding success with well over 500 affiliates competing online in order to qualify for the live event, the largest number ever entered!

The lucky 42 qualifiers started their quest in earnest for the legendary ASOP gold and diamond bracelet, a seat at the next tournament and a share of the $20,000 in prize money.

Sitting at six tables of seven people, the competition was fierce although a couple of players obviously had a sense of humour with J. Todd owner of www.apcw.org showing his love of Britain by wearing a big, novelty Union Jack hat and Ory Weihs (who was placed second in this years event) donning a floor length "super affiliate" black cape!

Perhaps they were just trying to distract the opposition?

The final table was played on day 2 of CAP Euro and as well as being filmed by The Poker Channel, there was live commentary by the guys at www.roundersradio.com making it a definite crowd puller with over 10 people deep trying to see the flop fall at times.

The crowds were never bored though with free bars displayed at almost every expo stand and a background of banging house music from the dj booth on the Cake Poker stand.

The fun had to end at some point and after just over 3 hours and several all ins our first Hungarian winner Gabor Vidak who owns the affiliate sites pokerhirek.com/ and gowestpoker.com/ claimed victory and so became this year's ASOP London winner!

When asked about his win, he said:

"I really enjoyed the tour, and I love the bracelet. I will be definitely be there on the next ASOP, because CAP is not only a great place to make business, but also to have fun. I'd like to thank the organisers for this fantastic event."

But let's not forget the affiliate managers who on a next door table were fighting a battle of their own with slightly more seriousness than a WSOP final table.

Surprisingly almost at the same time as the ASOP came to a close Daniel Cerny from Bwin clinched his win over his on and off table competitors walking away with a cool $1,000.

Well-done Daniel for being our first ASOP Affiliate Manager winner.

Once again, congratulations to Gabor Vadeck and we look forward to seeing you defend your title in Cyprus this summer!

If you think you have the skill to beat him, then enter our ASOP tournament at CAP SpringBreak. To ensure you receive any updates on this event make sure you register on www.asop.com.

Finally, our thanks must go to the ASOP Sponsors, Everest Affiliates and AffiliateClub.com, who deserve credit because the tournament wouldn't happen without them.
